The Utility Safety & Ops Leadership Network (USOLN) was created in 2009 out of the need for utility safety and operations personnel to network, share ideas and professionally develop in order to build strong safety cultures within their utility work environment. The Utility Safety & Ops Leadership Network is a 501c6 corporation.
Today over 900 individuals benefit from their membership in the USOLN. Member organizations include investor-owned utilities, coops, municipal providers and contractors providing serves to the utility industry. The USOLN offers support and access to utility industry experts throughout the year. Group meetings are held at the iP Utility Safety Conference & Expos.
Individuals who join committees also have the opportunity to work and share ideas all year long with utility industry colleagues around the country.
The first project launched by the Utility Safety & Ops Leadership Network (USOLN) was to establish a much-needed Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) certification serving the utility industry.
A separate exam development team was established for test and procedures development.
